I also love to sit and read and watch TV.
Growing up as an athlete, staying fit was easy. There was always a practice to go to, a competition to prepare for, a race to win. Then I became an adult and none of those things existed anymore, and I learned that not moving is just as easy as moving. Easier, even.
But as an adult I also saw first hand the damage that not moving can do. For a while I tried to use that as a motivator. Fear, basically. Fear of sickness, of not feeling the way I want to, of not looking the way I want to. But I learned that fear is a pretty crappy motivator.
Instead, what ended up working for me was understanding my motivations and ALSO finding ways to move that were FUN made me feel awesome!
And that's what I want to help you do too. I want you to feel amazing and find ways to move that make you want to move more! Because if what you're doing now isn't what you want to be doing when you're 80, then how are you going to stick with it in the long term?! This is about building a life you want to live!
